Product Overview

Memotec’s Enterprise and Carrier solutions are easily deployed and configured using CXTool, Memotec's new Windows-based configuration tool specifically designed to configure Memotec’s CX family of products. Configuring Memotec devices has never before been simpler than with the use of CXTool. Basically select parameters from drop down lists and fill in dialog boxes with required information.

A centralized Graphical User Interface (GUI) Element Management System (EMS) that provides intuitive provisioning & maintenance operations, CXTool configures each device with information entered in a series of dialog boxes, offering choices of parameters, ranges, etc. By accepting predefined defaults or entering your own values in all the required fields you create a customized configuration. You are guided through all of the steps needed to configure the device. If you make an error at any stage you will be informed either immediately or, at the latest, before the configuration is completed. If you need it, on-line help is just a mouse click away.

Memotec offers also an open interface network management solution based on standard SNMP protocol, which permits virtually any operation from any SNMP standard compliant 3rd party network management software tool. This feature enables easy integration in most existing Network Management System (NMS) already deployed by operator’s NOC managers, CIOs and IT managers.

Memotec proposes also its own inexpensive off-the-shelf NMS software tool based on What’s Up Gold (from IPSWITCH ?www.ipswitch.com ).
Finally, Memotec’s extensive array of network status and performance monitoring information, SNMP alarms trap, and dash-board function, complement the operator’s network supervision tools, allowing rapid troubleshooting of network problems.
